Trainee Appeals Procedure

Responsibility

Responsibility for student appeals lies with the Assessor and the Internal Verifier

Procedure

  1. If a student feels they have been treated unfairly during assessment they are encouraged to approach the assessor involved in the assessment to resolve the dispute.

  1. If agreement between both parties cannot be reached, a formal appeal against assessment must be lodged with the Internal Verifier using an Assessment Appeals Form. This should take place within three days of receipt of assessment decision.

  1. The Internal Verifier will review the situation and after consulting with the parties concerned, will make a decision on the assessment.

  1. The decision of the Internal Verifier can be appealed by either party to the External Verifier for arbitration.
