Trainee Appeals Procedure
Responsibility
Responsibility for student appeals lies with the Assessor and the Internal Verifier
Procedure
- If a student feels they have been treated unfairly during assessment they are encouraged to approach the assessor involved in the assessment to resolve the dispute.
- If agreement between both parties cannot be reached, a formal appeal against assessment must be lodged with the Internal Verifier using an Assessment Appeals Form. This should take place within three days of receipt of assessment decision.
- The Internal Verifier will review the situation and after consulting with the parties concerned, will make a decision on the assessment.
- The decision of the Internal Verifier can be appealed by either party to the External Verifier for arbitration.
