Prizing Giving 2012
BCW Training Ltd held its annual prizing evening in Greenlight Gateway Garden Centre on Tuesday 7th August 2012. The evening was a great success and was attended by the students, careers service representatives, members of the business community and local counsellors. It was an opportunity to showcase the hard-work of our learners whilst providing a good networking platform for BCW Training Ltd and its connections in the wider community.
Guest speakers and business owners: Zoe Campbell and John Quinn spoke about how BCW Training Ltd provided them with the training and confidence to start up their own businesses. Greenlight Gateway provided delicious food and refreshments and a great evening was had by all.

Steps into Employment
The Steps to Work Programme is proving a great success for its participants in the Moyle area. BCW Training Ltd has helped 9 members of the Moyle community back into employment in May and June 2012.
The individuals attended a placement with the potential employers and then successfully gained employment in the following vocational areas: administration, childminding, farming, mechanical and electronic engineering, maintenance, retail and production.
We are so pleased for those who have gained employment through the Steps to Work Programme and we wish them all success in the future.

Good luck Jackie!
This year we have nominated Jackie O’Brien for the 2012 Essential Skills Award. Jackie completed her Level 2 in Essential Skills in Numeracy and Literacy. She also completed her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing and is now working part-time in Ann-Marie’s Hairdressers.
Jackie is an inspiration to all the single parents out there. Her determination to gain qualifications and begin her career in Hairdressing resulted in securing employment and a better future for her young family. We wish Jackie all the best for the future and fingers crossed she wins the Essential Skills Award in Antrim area.
